A revolutionary watch that generates electricity
from the difference between your body temperature and the outside.Thermic

In 1998, Seiko launched the Thermic, a quartz watch that generates electricity to power itself from the temperature difference between the wearer's body and the outside temperature. Able to run for approximately 10 months on a full charge, this model represented Seiko's high level of creativity and technology. It was also equipped with a power-saving mechanism that would stop the second hand when the watch was removed from the wrist and power generation ceased. The ring of circular holes around the bezel served as air holes, and the lugs also had large slits resembling air-intake vents to allow air to pass through. The characteristics of the movement are well utilized in the design.
