Distinctive dials and glasses
that adorned the watches of the late 1960s and 70s.The vogue for colored dials and dimensional glass

The photo shows one of the models of the distinctive brand BANAC, which was prominent in the early to mid-1970s.

Bold and dimensional glass and vivid gradation color dials were popular watch design trends in the late 1960s and 70s. One of the models with these characteristics, the Elnix, was equipped with an electronic balance movement that kept the time with a mechanical structure powered by batteries. The red arrow mark at the 6 o'clock position on the dial was a distinctive feature. Designs incorporating similar trends in other watches were very popular among both men and women. The case design was composed of broad surfaces that made it look as if it were cut from a solid block of stainless steel, and the glass was similarly boldly cut in three dimensions. The thick indexes were also a notable feature.
