An adventure watch that makes full use of
Yuichiro Miura's advice.Prospex Land Master

By removing the direction indicator bezel normally installed in mountaineering watches, this model, released in 2012, is specialized for displaying the time. The movement is Seiko's innovative Spring Drive mechanism. Based on advice from mountaineer Yuichiro Miura, the crown, normally positioned at the 3 o'clock position, was placed at the 12 o'clock position to prevent it from getting caught on backpacks and cold-weather gear. The case has a barnacle-like shape, with a trapezoidal appearance when viewed from the side. This is another measure to eliminate the possibility of the watch getting caught on equipment while climbing. The red letters on the black diamond-shielded case create a tough impression, like a highly robust piece of mountaineering equipment.
