A watch that shows the time in various cities,
born in an age when international traveling had become more accessible.Japan’s first world time watch
- Seiko World Time

Launched in 1964, this model was the first Japan-made watch with a GMT hand and world time display. The design is color-coded black and blue so that the division between day and night can be recognized at a glance. The inner rotating ring (rotating dial ring) with the names of 26 cities is turned by a drive wheel linked to the crown at the 4 o'clock position. The international sporting events held in Tokyo had triggered a growing interest in various countries and made people feel closer to the international community. The World Time watch was introduced as a product with an awareness of internationalization.
