the Contemporary Master Craftsman Award

For many years he has been in charge of designing mechanical models for Grand Seiko. He is well versed in metal processing technology, which is essential for watch manufacturing, and his designs pursue the brilliance and light reflection of stainless steel and precious metals, as well as the form and comfort of watches when worn. In 2016, he was also awarded the Medal with Yellow Ribbon.
