A quartz watch with an eye-catching
streamlined silhouette.Grand Quartz

The most attractive features of the Grand Quartz are the streamlined silhouette of the case and integrated bracelet.

All indexes on the dial, even the seconds marks, are embedded. The finish has a luxurious feel.

A more exclusive model was also developed using tiger's-eye stone for the dial and platinum and gold for the exterior.

It is commonly known as the “Sampachi Quartz” V.F.A., based on the Japanese reading of the first few digits of the model number 3823-7001. This movement was equipped with a condenser and was capable of rate adjustment. The case has a rounded, streamlined silhouette, which was very innovative for the time, and the design of the bracelet, which is integrated with the flow of the case, is extremely beautiful. The top of the case has a horizontal stripe finish, and the sides of the case have an elaborate stripe finish running in the direction of 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock. The dial is decorated with 60 painstakingly arranged indexes, which accentuate the fine metallic brilliance. The design was created by tackling the difficult problems of how to combine the slim hour and minute hands of an analogue quartz watch with the indexes in a well-balanced manner, and how to make them highly legible.
