A studio comprised of exceptional watchmakers
who gave birth to the Spring Drive Sonnerie.Establishment of the Micro Artist Studio

Six years after the opening of the studio, the Credor Spring Drive Sonnerie was created. It is a model with a delicate mechanism and artistic quality.

By operating the button at the 8 o'clock position, the chime indicates the number of hours and minutes of the current time with its beautiful tone.

The dial allows the wearer to view the complex and beautiful movement at all times, and the Japanese bellflower design on the barrel at the 12 o'clock position also shows the watchmaker’s attention to detail.

In 2000, the Micro Artist Studio was established within Seiko Epson's Shiojiri facility with the objective of passing on mechanical watchmaking techniques and skills to the next generation. In 2006, six years after its establishment, the studio produced the extremely challenging Sonnerie complication watch equipped with the Spring Drive movement. Even more unique was the use of an orin (bowl-shaped) bell instead of a traditional chiming gong. Inspired by temple bells, the orin bell produces a calming sound that echoes with a wavering reverberation.
