A Watch for Girls in Love

Watches are designed specifically to tell time. But what if it could tell you something more? This question sparked my curiosity. As I pondered this, an image of a girl in love came to mind—someone eager to know how her loved one feels, checking her horoscope for romantic compatibility, and anxiously awaiting a reply to a message. I wanted to create a watch that would resonate with the hearts of young girls like her, heightening their excitement. For this, I chose the motif of “flower fortune-telling” (they love me… they love me not), an idea that has captured the imaginations of love-struck girls throughout history.
The disc hand, with its flower petal design, rotates to reveal whether the answer is "LOVE me" or "LOVE me NOT."
The result is determined randomly, adding an element of suspense that might heighten the excitement of love. Keep an eye out for the glittering crystal glass, visible only when the answer is "LOVE me!"
When I first thought about how to incorporate the “flower fortune-telling” function, I initially imagined the hands of the watch spinning like a roulette wheel, stopping to reveal the result. I ultimately decided to use a disc-shaped hand to amplify the excitement of the flower fortune-telling experience. The hand is translucent, featuring a delicate flower petal design that is visible through the glass. There is a single transparent window in the shape of a flower petal. When the rotating disc hand halts, a petal with the words “LOVE me” or “LOVE me NOT” appears through the window, revealing your fate.

The overall design of this watch is meant to be cute and to make the hearts of young girls in love flutter. One of the standout features is the domed glass, which rises in a rounded shape. The way the dial’s flower petals refract through the glass, softly spreading out, creates a magical effect that elegantly expresses the beauty and fragility of love. I also encourage you to observe the meticulous attention to detail in the motion of the disc hand as it reveals the result of the flower fortune-telling. My hope is that this watch brings joy and encouragement to all those in love.

First off, it's adorable! We were curious about how they would incorporate flower fortune-telling into a watch, and now we see—the petals rotate! When you're in love, there's a natural urge to turn to fortune-telling, and the pure, innocent feeling of having a crush on someone is truly delightful. Is the glass slightly curved to keep others from peeking from the side? The fact that only you can see the revealed message makes it feel like a "secret love," which is so charming. Just imagining someone asking, "What are you looking at?" and replying with, "It's a secret♡" makes our hearts flutter!
The randomness of the flower fortune-telling adds an exciting touch, too. We think we'd find ourselves trying it over and over before actually confessing our feelings. With that in mind, wouldn't it be wonderful to have a mode where only "LOVE me" appears, for those moments when you're about to confess? When we do love-me, love-me-not, we tend to pick flowers that we expect to give us an outcome of "LOVE me," and sometimes a little encouragement is all we need... You could call it "Girls' Courage Mode"! What do you think?
